Royal Grid ("the app") is made by Philip Lance. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. The short version: there is no account, your game progress stays on your device, and ads are served by Google AdMob.
You do not need to sign up or log in. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or address.
Your streaks, stats, best times, settings, themes and puzzle progress are stored locally on your iPhone (including a shared container used by the home screen widget). This data is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.
The free version shows banner, full-screen and optional rewarded ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect:
Google uses this data under its own policies. Learn more: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google Privacy Policy.
Before ads load, iOS asks whether Royal Grid may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier is not shared and you will see non-personalized or less relevant ads. You can play everything either way, and you can change your choice anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether the purchase is active.
If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center to show leaderboards and achievements. Apple handles this data under Apple's Privacy Policy. Your Game Center nickname may be visible to other players on leaderboards. We do not receive your Apple ID.
When you tap Share, the app creates a text/emoji summary of your solve and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to send it.
If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is used.
Royal Grid is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
